Grapper and Alaric make a plan. Grapper and Semius will draw all of the guards away from the castle, allowing Alaric to go in and confront the Third Tyrant directly. Alaric says, "There are many guards. I hope you will be able to handle yourself."
Grapper says, "It will not be a problem. We are very experienced."
"Alright but please watch out."
By night the three of them get into position outside of Cademia. Just after daybreak Grapper runs up to the barracks and kicks the iron door in. "You can take my fire, but you can never take my freedom!" he yells.
The guards don't know how dangerous Grapper is because they're from the past but they soon learn he is not to be trifled with. The first guard to attack Grapper goes down in a single punch, then Grapper picks him up and uses him as a flail. After Grapper knocks down another seven soldiers, another guard tries to run away but Grapper lobs the guard-flail at him and they both collapse in a heap. The guard-flail is probably fine though because Grapper threw him feet-first.
Next Semius jumps on Grapper's shoulders to make Z-WOLF BETA FORMATION and they are a unstoppable four-armed machine. However, they see a sudden flash of lightning and hear a clap of thunder from the castle. "That's our sign!" Semius says, and the pair jet-boot away from the barracks and into the castle.
There, they see Alaric standing in the middle of a room mostly full of dead people in fancy clothes. "The Tyrant and his supporters," Alaric explains. "Thanks to you Grapper I was able to get them."
"It is not a problem," Grapper says.
"Is there anything I can do to repay you?"
"Yes our team of five was split up when we came here. Do you know where they are? Can you send us to them?"
Alaric momentarily falls into a trance. "I know where—and when—your friends Hector and Amelia are and I can send you to them. However, I cannot find a fifth member. He is, I fear, forever lost."
Grapper says, "Semius the golem hunter? But I thought you died years ago in Cademia."
"No as you can see I am quite fine. One of the mage Machaon's spells brought me to this universe but left my skeleton behind. I am very much indebted to our alien friends for giving me a new one."
They feel a bump as another saucer docks. A group of aliens and one human boards.
"Has Mr. Pringle accepted?" an alien asks.
The man answers "Well I would love to stay home and make music but space-time is where my daughter is and I can't let anything happen to her or by extension it."
"Good. We heard from high command that our enemies are on the move already. We need to go now so Hector will have to be our fifth member."
A few hours later they are orbiting around a new planet in a red star system.
"What do you need us to do?" Grapper asks.
"They have built an installation here and are attempting to feed the star until it bursts and becomes a black hole. We need you to figure out how they are feeding the star and stop it. Then-"
The lights on the saucer go out. An alien shouts "Captain! We are going down!"
Z-WOLF is shaping up to be a brilliant team ^_ __^ I wonder who the other one or two people will be (not sure if Hector's included)? It's too bad the aliens forgot to put four sleeves on their super suits, but these things happen.
The golden demon's voice booms through the cavern. "YOU HAVE PLEASED THE DEMON MIDAS."
"Don't you mean 'displeased'?" Hector says. Grapper says, "ssh!"
"NO. I DON'T GET MANY VISITORS. IN RETURN FOR YOUR COURTESY I WILL GRANT YOU ONE WISH."
Grapper says, "OK. We wish to go back to the future. But preferably not back to the desert. It would be very convenient for us to stay in Kosha."
"…I SHOULD MENTION THAT I CAN ONLY GRANT WISHES OF THE FORM 'I WISH SO-AND-SO WAS MADE OF GOLD'."
Grapper thinks for a minute.
"OK, we wish that, until we are back in our own time, we ourselves will be made of gold."
Hector says, "I don't think that's such a good—"
"YOUR WISH IS GRANTED." Hector and Grapper become gold statues.
"—idea." Hector stops and looks around. They're in the future again but they aren't in the golden cavern anymore. "Where are we?"
Grapper says, "We've been stolen!"
"Well then," Hector says, "I suppose we can just arrest the Comana boys now. It will be easy."
"No," Grapper says. "We must be careful. We cannot create a paradox. And they are still just children, anyway."
Hector says, "Well, we cannot just wait decades to get back to the future. How did we get here?"
"We went through that mirror. Hector, there is a reflecting pool out in front. Maybe we can return by jumping in it."
Grapper and Hector run out in front of the Kosha castle and jump in the reflecting pool. The water goes up to their knees but they aren't time-traveling or anything. Then they hear a click and the bottom of the pool starts to descend. The guards rush outside and Grapper and Hector stand back to back fighting them off easily while the water level rises. Once the water covers their heads, a new floor slides in above them and they are dumped out onto a waterslide. Hector says, "Wheee!"
When they reach the bottom, they find themselves inside a brightly-lit cavern. The walls are gilded with gold and everything in the cavern is also gold, especially a golden statue of a demon standing on a pedestal in the middle of the room. Then, the statue starts to move!
Grapper and Hector reappear. This place is also in darkness but it's a different place. Hector says, "Grapper, I do not like this. That spell should have taken us to Land King Hall, but we are not there."
"Well, for now I think we should get ourselves out of here," says Grapper. They walk around in the dark and then they find a staircase. At the top of it they turn left and push through a secret door. It was secret from the outside but not the from the inside. They sneak through a bedroom and a hallway when they hear someone shout "Guards! Intruders!"
Four guardsmen rush into the hallway. Grapper easily avoids their swords and knocks down the four guardsmen. They are lying on their backs in a row and Grapper draws his sword and holds it to all of their throats at the same time. "You have done nothing wrong, I will not kill you. You were just protecting…this place. What is this place?"
"Why, the castle of Kosha, but of course you knew that."
"Yes I did."
Hector shouts, "Look, the Comana boys!" Grapper runs over to see. There are three little boys playing in the garden.
"But Hector," Grapper says, "they cannot be the Comana brothers. They are just boys."
"They are. Grapper, we have not only travelled to Kosha—but also back in time!"
I couldn't tell you that, because there's no plan and I haven't written another chapter yet. The lack of plans also extends to having no plans to continue writing at all, but if I keep putting stupid twists at the end, then it will keep being fun to write without a plan.
