Omens test eppisoed III: Who should I beileve?

  • There are two People who answerd my question. But they both say different things. One guy says that I should chuck the bomb at the door, but the other guy says that I should not chuck the bomb at the door. who should I beileve?

  • I recomend using the bomb on the door. You'll get more bombs later anyway at the coast temple. You should save at least one, though, for blowing up the door in omen's other place later. You can also buy bombs (at very high prices) in cademia.

  • I actually believe that's exactly what you shouldn't do. Instead, hold onto the bombs, screw his stupid teleportation maze, and get the omen's health regneration ring. Its a great ring, because if you get poisoned, your health still regenerates (much slower, though). When used with the health ring found under Cademia, in the golem's maze, you'll be unbeatable.

    Hrm..
I always thought that the health ring recharged just as fast as poison drained.
Of course, it's been a long time since I've played Cythera.

  • I found that my health still regenerated, albeit much more slowly, even if I'm poisoned, and have the omen's ring on (this is without the other health ring). It could be possible that since I increased my body stats, my health regenerates faster.

  • I'd say that not throwing the bomb at the dooor is the best, seeing as you get another bomb (you can never have to many) and omens ring (a necessity)

  • you can get the rings with out using the bomb, i save the bomb, skip the test and back in the land king hall, pick up the mage lock chest, bring it next to the door to the king(forgot name) chambers and use the bomb to blow the chest and the door down at once, in the chest are 3 more bombs.

  • Basically, it really doesn't matter. Skipping the test is nice and handy, but if it is the first time you've played, there is some information on the scrolls later in the test that can be important to know. Bombs are handy too, but they are only needed to open doors if you're going no-magic style (there is a spell on a scroll in Kosha you can learn at any magic level that can open mage-locked doors). As for regular locked doors, you can find a key, pick them, break them open (by attacking them), or use the spell Unlock, so bombs certainly aren't needed there.

What you could do, is make a backup save, and just try both...

  • Omen's test is basically the training ground, to help you get familiar with how the game's control system and some things like bombs and secret doors work. If you're already comfortable with it all, then you can skip it. Oh, and I never used a single bomb when I played the game through. They're just not necessary; and there are plenty lying around anyway, so you're not going to lose because you left one behind.
