How can I get all the Cythera music in playable format?

  • Hello everyone, first post here.

I was wondering if there was any way I could possibly be able to get all the music from Cythera (cave music, metic music, outdoor music, Kosha, Odemia, Catamarca, Cademia, etc) in any playable format (such as maybe MP3 or MIDI). Of course I already have the Stairway track, but is there any other way to get it? I like Cythera's music and would love to be able to play it on iTunes and such. I would appreciate any info. Thanks.

  • There have been many boards asking this question, and the answer is- sorry. No.
You could try to rip the songs by recording it playing on your speakers, but that isn't very good quality. I am 90% positive it isn't on the internet, or that anyone has it.

    Sorry!

  • Doh.

If they're still working on Cythera for OS X as they mention in the above thread, would it be possible for us to ask the crew if they could include music files with the game in MIDI?

  • Well, StairWay (the song in LandKing Hall) is on the add-ons page, I think the menu music can be gotten from WebArchive of the old delver site, but other than that, I don't know...

  • I couple weeks ago I thought of something. I no longer have Snapz Pro 2 because my 30 days were up. I tried my idea and it worked:

You go into the Snapz "menu" and pick video. Then you put on the "Mac audio track." Click record and quickly open Cythera, or go back into your game. When the track is over, before it loops stop recording. Then choose to save only the audio, not the video. Some people could refine this method a lot. I am certain there are some freeware/shareware programs that can be used ONLY to record the audio of your computer.

  • I know of a very simple solution to this problem.

    Oh. Yes. Duh.

  • But if you don't register it, it gives a stupid voice in the recording. But anyways, for Snapz Pro X 2, if you drag the preferences folder (in User->Library) out, then create a folder called Preferences, and move all the files from the old preferences into the new folder, Snapz Pro will be reverted.

I think that is if your trial is over. About reverting it, that is abusing shareware. Not fair.

  • That's why I simply bought Snapz Pro, because what I was doing for a year was abusing shareware.
