how can I learn everything else thats not basic, Im in level 4 and I have mana 5 and

casting 15 (I just kept going to the headmaster), I learned every thing in those

library books and I dont understand after reading the faq why dont you just get both

      all magic and melee skills.

Oh and what happens if you steal to much and kill unicorns? (theyre not sacred or anything like in those damn Harry Potter book right?

Edit buttons exist for a reason, ya know...

            Ah, well...

Just ask around to improve skills, go to (url="http://"http://www.macclassics.com/cythera/cythera.htm")Slayer`s guide to Cythera(/url) for more information (his site is down but should be up again soon). If you steal and kill innocent people, your karma will drop and people might not want to talk to you. If your name (in the dialog screen) is white, your karma is good. The darker it gets, the worse karma you got. Unicorns and titans are good food sources and they are not sacred. They give you extra skill points if you kill them and food if you search the carcasses.

Welcome to the wide world of Cythera! A ready hero, out to save the world. 😉

Excuse me, but why do the guards not have any weapons so they can kill you (or at least try) if you steal things or kill innocent people? Is it any upgrade that may enable that?

At Odemia the guarrds have maces and the captain has an axe that hurts more than a mace.

sigh Sometimes I think you people let Slayer's sight do all the work...

To be able to open mage-locked doors, go to the city along the coast south of Cademia. In the most north-western building there lives a judge who has a scroll of remove mage-lock in his desk. To get it, though, you need to go at night because the judge is usually sitting the door and you can't get by. Use the grimoire (sp?) on the scroll and there you go.

As for the questions about training what/where:

Body, Reflex, Mind____Alaric in Land King Hall (LKH)
Offence, Defence, Sword, Shield____Hector's Father (whatever his name is) in LKH
Baking____Hector's Mother (whatever her name is) in LKH
Axes, Maces____Captain of Guard (whatever his name is) in Catamarca
                  Mana, Casting____Lindus in Pynx
Persuasion, Haggling____Grumpy Begger Guy in Cademia
Pick Lock, Disarm Trap____Rat Catcher #1 in Cademia
                  Missile____Rat Catcher #2 in Cademia
Fishing (warning: doesn't work)____Fisher Guy in Catamarca

Hmmm...I think that's it, but I haven't played in a while, so correct me if I left something out. And as for general training in all areas? It's defenately possible. In fact I recomend it if your new to the game. But to be -really- good at something and be able to cast three consecutive fireballs, now that takes persistance.

                    You forgot one.

Weaving: that weaving lady in Odemia. (warning: I have yet to find any point. I think it's kinda like fishing). 🙂

In an older version there was a great weaving bug. If you bought a bunch(say, 9) bales of flax then spun it into thread, you would get 9 spools of thread AND the 9 bales a flax would still be there. If you tried to spin the thread into cloth, you would end up with (surprise!) 9 reems of cloth, 9 spools of thread, and 9 bales of flax. Then I tried to drop it all. It just kept comming! I never ran out, even though I filled the entire guardhouse full of it. I don't know if they ever got that one fixed.

well i know that if u steal like more than 3 items, guards come after you, but they r really easy to kill(at least the ones in catamarca are...) my friend was playing and she decided to kill alaric. she got in one hit, the guards killed her. then she just went back and asked alaric to help her. he did and she attacked again, and so on until she took the necklace off.she says she prefers everquest better.:p

The guards chase you if you steal one item, and if you kill them, your karma will drop. Shame on you!
