    • RE: Maze in Northern Cademia

As far as I know, the cave-in is just the game's way of being really annoying. 😆
Definitely use your map in the maze with the levers; otherwise, you will certainly go insane.
If I remember correctly, the purpose of the levers is not to get all the way through the maze; there's no "exit" at the other end. Instead, try going back to check on the flooded area near the entrance...
Then, after that, there's a couple more puzzles to "have fun with". But there's good stuff at the end, so it's worth it.

    • RE: What do you want in future releases?

I knew there was something else I couldn't think of at the time! Like Iheredoe said, the journal really needs some better way of organization. Rather than a search feature, though, I would like to see a way to define your own categories (not just like "Useful" and "Important", which don't really mean anything to me as far as organization goes, but ones like "Curing Alaric" and "Kesh, etc.") and be able to "jump" to a particular category. That way, you could create a category for each series of missions you are working on, and be able to refer to it whenever necessary without scrolling your entire journal every time.

Related to this, there really ought to be some way to edit your journal entries, so that you could, for example, annotate what someone said - "Ascertainment says he's lying" or "This matches what Alaric told me." These would be very helpful!

Or you can just move the crates; drag them from point A to point B and see what point A holds, then move them back. (Don't actually pick them up, though, that would count as stealing.)

Glenn, who agrees that smashing crates is more fun but just wanted to point out a kinder, gentler alternative. 😆

My top priority would definitely be the ability to easily add new missions and/or new scenarios to the game. That is by far my favorite thing about EV and EVO, not to mention other games like Lode Runner 2. Multiplayer support would be nifty too, but I know that's a lot harder to do. Focus first on the expandability, IMHO.

    • RE: Unfinished Business

BTW, Omen's Test/Lair is located under Cademia, past one of the "no apparent way to operate" secret doors. There's a lever hidden somewhere in town that will open it, but there's nothing of interest in the Test that wasn't there before. It's kinda neat, though.

    • RE: Scylla Temple & Others (spoilers)

Regarding wrsoland's question about losing the Mystic Spear:
If you throw the spear at someone and kill them, the spear "disappears" and is now "carried" by the corpse/carcass or whatever. (I'm not sure what exactly happens with polyps and such that disappear - someone should check this.) Look on the corpse and you should see the spear. If you leave the area and come back, the spear might be lying on the ground where you left it, or it might not. One thing that seems to always cause permanent loss, though, is with wild animals like unicorns and titans. If you kill one by throwing the spear at it, then destroy the carcass into meat (you can do this bare-handed even - talk about strength! 😆 ) the spear will disappear forever, lost with the destruction of the carcass. Annoying, no?

    • RE: Darn you, Meliager!

This about drove me insane too. Apparenty you cannot ask Meleager about it; he has to offer to teach you. When this happens may or may not be random; I don't know. For me, he finally offered it when I talked to him in the ruins of Abydos (south of Pnyx along the coast). Good luck!

    • Where can I get a fishing pole?

Just another case of a seemingly useless skill, much like Weaving, below. Is there anywhere that I can buy/safely steal a fishing pole so that I can actually make use of my Fishing skill?

    • What good is Weaving, anyway?

Does the skill Weaving serve any useful purpose? I mean, I can use it to turn flax into thread and thread into cloth, but then what?
      1. Is cloth useful for anything? Can I make it into something else?
      2. Will anyone buy thread or cloth from me?
As far as I can tell, the answer to these is "no." Anyone know otherwise?
